This seminar was hosted as a 'getting to know you' seminar for Bujinkan Kiwi Dojo, Napier, New Zealand.
The guys travelled down (or is it up?) from Napier and we had a fantastic days training followed by long conversations over dinner.

Thanks to Sensei Dave Tipene (4th Dan) and the guys for coming all the way to Stratford.

Jutaijutsu

Sue puts Dave in a wrist lock. Stepping back to take her opponent off balance and then bending the back knee to take him down. Tom uses the blindfold to help him get a feel of the wristlock. It is a great way to improve your techniques.

Sue, even though blindfolded, makes sure to keep a good stance and not to lean over while putting the lock on

Justin starts to apply an elbow lock to Tom. Foot and bodywork is much more important than arm strength.

Jason puts Marc in a lock. Always keep moving to keep the lock on and stop your attacker from escaping

.

Dave uses Kyushu points on the side of Marcs neck to take him down.

Kenjutsu
Techniques from Suwari gata
